BYD, the world's largest electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has partnered with Ayala Corporation, one of the largest conglomerates in the Philippines, to offer a range of EVs in the country. The partnership aims to accelerate the country's transition to sustainable mobility and technological innovation. BYD Philippines currently offers four EV models: the luxury executive sedan BYD Han, the spacious 7-seater family SUV BYD Tang, the compact hatchback BYD Dolphin, and the minivan BYD T3. The company plans to introduce another highly awarded EV model, the BYD ATTO 3, by the end of the year. These vehicles are available in 12 dealerships across four cities in the Philippines: Manila, Makati, Quezon City, and Cebu. The Toyota group reached the milestone of 15 million hybrid cars sold worldwide, from 1997 to today, under the Toyota and Lexus brands in January. Since the launch of the first generation of the Prius , this technology has taken several steps forward and the Japanese manufacturer now offers a range of 44 electrified models globally, with specific variants for individual markets.
